Privacy policy

Last updated 17 October 2026

Speedtechau ("we", "us") is a mobile mechanic and mechanical engineering business in South Sydney and Wollongong. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and how we look after it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles as a matter of good practice.

What we collect

Only what you type into our booking, engineering inquiry or contact forms:

  • your name, email address and phone number
  • your suburb, and details of your vehicle or project
  • anything you write in the notes or message fields

To stop spam, we also record a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address for a short time so we can limit how often the forms are used. We can't work out your actual address from it.

Why we collect it

  • to reply to you, quote, and book or carry out the work you asked about
  • to send you a confirmation email that we received your request
  • to keep records of jobs for warranty, accounting and legal reasons

We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.

Who handles it

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and send email:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and stores form submissions
  • Resend, which sends our confirmation and notification emails

These providers may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. They only use it to provide their service to us.

Cookies and analytics

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we measure visitor numbers, we use privacy-friendly analytics that don't identify you or follow you to other sites.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and job records for as long as we need them for the reasons above, and for any period the law requires (for example, tax records). After that we delete them.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@speedtechau.com or call 0423 493 401. We'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
